Volunteer with WUMC for the MLK Day of Service

“Everybody can be great … because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.”

Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr.

In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s birthday, WUMC will be joining in United Way’s annual MLK Day of Service activities on Monday, January 15,  from 10:00AM-1:00PM. We’ll be sending a volunteer contingent to help with City Fruit’s “Save the Orchard!” project in southeast Seattle, weeding, mulching, and otherwise cleaning up a community orchard that shares fruit with the community and those in need.

Registration is required, so if you’d like to participate, please contact Jane (appling4@msn.com) as soon as possible to be added to the list.  Carpools will be leaving at 9:30, or you can meet us at the site.  Hope to see you on MLK Day!
