Reconciling Statement

Wallingford United Methodist Church is Proud to Be a Reconciling Congregation

RMN symbol colorWallingford UMC has been an “Open and Affirming” (what United Methodists now call “Reconciling”) for 30 years!

Wallingford United Methodist Church is a Reconciling Congregation, part of a growing network that consists of over 298 congregations, 35 Campus Ministries, and 89 other Reconciling Communities and Ministries. There are over 80,000 Reconciling United Methodists.

We seek to minister with all people, regardless of sexual/affectional orientation. We hope to heal the gulf between the church and people who have been alienated in the past. We affirm that everyone is a person of sacred worth.

As a Reconciling Congregation, we welcome all people to any of our services, events, and groups. Our congregation is full of people from all walks of life who celebrate each individual’s gender and sexuality, whatever it may be. Please know that the doors are always open to you.
