Introduction to Spiritual Practices
Heart’s Way Home offers “Introduction to Spiritual Practices” on August 12 from 9:00AM-12:00PM in South Lake Union.
A spiritual practice is something we do on a regular basis with the intent to grow spiritually. These practices are part of every history, of every faith. Participants will discuss (and even practice) some of the exercises in four areas: Stillness, Creativity, Ritual and Movement. There will also be extra time talking about – and practicing – meditation and spiritual journaling (Did you know there are hundreds of ways to meditate and journal?). Maybe you have a spiritual practice; this is an opportunity to try something different. Maybe this is all new; here’s an opportunity to discover what might work for you.
Registration is $30. Find out full details and register online here.
St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church invites community members to participate in the “A Brush With God” iconography workshop this August 16-19.
“A Brush With God” is an opportunity to study with iconographer Peter Pearson (who has taught icon writing for 25 years) and create your own icon from start to finish. Pearson will guide participants in the creation of their own “Holy Silence” icon, which depicts Christ as the Word who can be found and speaks in silence. Attendees will also explore texts and prayers related to iconography and deepen their understanding of this ancient art.
This workshop takes place during the evenings August 16-19 at St. Andrew’s. Cost is $295 before August 2. Find out more and register online here.

Enneagram – Beyond the Basics
Join St. Mark’s Episcopal Church’s Wisdom School for “Enneagram – Beyond the Basics” on September 22 and 23.
The Enneagram is an ancient personality typing system composed of nine personality styles or “types.” Every style inhabits a distinct worldview and set of motivations that influence how a person moves through the world. This experiential workshop will illuminate how the nine personality styles relate to each other and explore each type’s defense mechanism, avoidances, traps, and other dynamics that hold the potential to help us become our best selves in interpersonal relationships.
No experience with Enneagram is required, although it is welcome if you have it. “Enneagram – Beyond the Basics” runs September 22 from 6:30PM-8:30PM and September 23 from 9:30AM-3:00PM at St. Mark’s. Registration is $50 and includes meals on Saturday. Find out more and register here.
