Community Life

The Community Life Vision Group exists to support and build community within WUMC.  The activities, planned by members of the congregation, and supported by the program team, are fun and thoughtful, one-time or ongoing.  Some of these groups are now in person but others are still in an online format or provide an additional online option. Please contact the church office, office@wallingfordumc.org, if you are interested in any of our community programs.

On-going programs in Community Life:

·       Women’s Group, social support and service group for women, meets alternate Sunday evenings, currently online.

·       Men’s Group, a social support group for men, meets alternate Sunday evenings, currently in person but you may join online if you wish.

·       Hospitality, care for our community by helping to set up treats and coffee in the narthex for after the service.

·       Purple Group, is for people who wish to discuss aging, mortality, and late-in-life or end-of-life care. Whether you want to talk about these topics as they relate to you or you are caring for another person, you are welcome. Click here for resources from Purple, and here for resources specifically about Dementia from Teepa Snow.

·       Our All-Church Retreat traditionally takes place in May.  If you are interested in helping to plan future retreats, or have questions about possibility of us meeting this year, please contact the office.
