Safe Church Policy

Wallingford United Methodist Church is committed to creating safe spaces for the children in our community.

At Wallingford, we see every child as a valuable, meaningful part of our church family. We are committed to providing a safe place where youth can come together for fellowship and spiritual growth. While we provide youth programming, all youth are welcome and encouraged to be involved in the entire life of the congregation.

Wallingford UMC has established a Children and Youth Safe Church Policy. The purpose is to demonstrate our absolute and unwavering commitment to the physical safety and spiritual growth of all our children, youth, and vulnerable adults. Copies of the policy are available in the church office.  The policy includes conducting a nationwide criminal background check on all volunteers who work directly with children, youth, and other vulnerable adults.
